Google now has launched a new feature in Google Maps (just released in the Newseum, Washington DC), which can make you “walk” on the moon.
Do not get me wrong before. By using this feature, does not mean you will walk on the surface of the moon. However, you can see directly the condition of the moon in real time. Of course for a few people, see the moon’s surface would be very boring, especially with the absence of life on the moon. But, have you ever imagined seeing former Appolo landing on the moon? Yes, Google’s own claim that the new Google Maps feature that can zoom up to as much detail as that.
Of course the existence of these features, can assist students to study objects in space. Google’s team is also hoping, with a feature like this, space to become invisible so far.
Google Maps is a free service from Google that provides web mapping service. By using this service, you can find a way just by typing the name of the street and Google will help you with how to view the map. In addition to Google Maps, Google still has another program that can display a map of the world, that is Google Earth. Different from Maps, Google Earth is a stand-alone program and can work on Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Symbian OS, and iPhone OS.
