  1. When it comes to your line of study, you need top of the line: processing power, RAM, a fast RPM hard drive, and a very good dedicated graphics card.

    Most architecture students I know go with Apple laptops–especially when it comes to CAD. You can make do with a cheap laptop to be sure, but you should be using the best of the best, especially if you deal with programs in 3d
