  1. notebook coolers reduce the temperature of the laptops components so, they will last longer.

    make sure that you choose a popular computer so that you can buy replacement parts for your laptop: I have an old IBM T41 ThinkPad which is like 4 years old but, it has a user manual which tells you how to remove and replace all the different parts which you can get cheap online. I’ve so far upgraded the processor, the RAM and the harddisk.

  2. Laptop coolers are a must! I invested in a passive cooler by ThermaPAK. For $30 you get a cooler that will never break on you and will never need to be replaced. I noticed that the bottom of my laptop was dramatically cooler with the cooler then w/out.
