This is part of the W810 Walkman Sony Ericsson line of phones. While being similar to the W800, W810 has benefited from several improvements. The most prominent is a quad band connectivity, EDGE support for faster wireless data transfer, light level sensor, the screen is slightly increased, but slightly reduced battery life.

Other features include a full function internet browser, a 2 Megapixel digital camera with auto-focus and flash, HPM-70 stereo headset, Memory Stick PRO Duo slot, 20 MB of internal memory, and music-only mode where phone functions are fully turned off, which also allow phones to be used as a Walkman phone in the area normally would be prohibited, such as airplanes and hospitals, in addition to providing longer battery-life. The phone supports MP3, AMR, MIDI, IMY, Emy, WAV (16 kHz maximum sample rate) and AAC audio formats and MPEG-4 and 3GPP video formats. But the WMA audio format is not supported.

While official support for Memory Stick PRO Duo is limited to 4 GB, users have reported using a stick 16 GB with full functionality (reading and writing), although at larger sizes, some of functionality (boot time, media playback, and file retrieval, for example) noticeably slower.
