That’s contingent on what it does. I would pay an ungodly amount of cash for an open sourced handheld thingy. Something like Pandora, with a great processor. I’d probably spend 200-300 bucks on something like that, but it has to be really, really versatile, and require no monthly subscriptions or any crap like that.
For a new cell phone, I wouldn’t pay much. Monthly subscriptions are ridiculous, and they get outdated every week. Additionally, all the ‘extra features’ cost shittons of cash. I’d probably pay 50 bucks for a cell phone.
Unless it’s the LG watch phone thing coming out I’d also drop 300 bones for, if it had a battery that ensured it would last longer than three days. But again, it’s pretty versatile and sleek.
